Rolling Stones announce London and New York concerts

  • The Rolling Stones have announced four concert dates in London and New York at the end of the year.

The band will perform at London's O2 Arena on November 25 and 29 November and at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13 and 15.

The tour marks the band’s 50th anniversary.

Tickets for the UK gigs go on sale on Friday, while the New Jersey tickets go on sale next Friday.

The Stones made the announcement via YouTube, saying: "You must have guessed this was coming. Surely you didn't think we weren't going to do this? Soon we will be back on stage playing for you in two cities that know how to rock and roll."

Front man Mick Jagger also suggested to fans there might be some special guest appearances at the concerts.

The news comes as the band releases its new single, Doom and Gloom. The single is taken from their latest album Grr!, due to be released in November.
