Ridley Scott's epic Moses tops US box office

  • Exodus: Gods and Kings, Ridley Scott's new film, has topped the weekend box office estimates in the US.

    The biblical epic starring Christian Bale took in $24.5 million on its opening. The film has however got a lukewarm response from critics.

    The number two spot at the box office was occupied by the latest version of Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence. The film has so far earned more than $270 million at the American box office in four weeks.
