Renowned US poet Galway Kinnell dies

American poet Galway Kinnell, a winner of the Pulitzer Prize, has died at the age of 87, according to media reports.
He was reportedly suffering from leukaemia.
The son of immigrants, he was born in Rhode Island in 1927.
A celebrated poet, Kinnell wrote over a dozen books in 50 years. His 1982 work Selected Poems won him the Pulitzer as well as the National Book Award for Poetry.
His other famous works, include Mortal Acts, Mortal Words, and The Book of Nightmares.
