New James Bond book to be called Solo
April 16 , 2013
The next James Bond novel is to be called Solo, author William Boyd announced on Monday.
Details of the story have not yet been revealed but publishers said it features the 45-year-old 007 agent traveling across Africa and America.
"Sometimes less is more," said Boyd about the title of the book, which continues Ian Fleming's series.
Ian Fleming Publications, who look after the literature side of the James Bond brand, said the title fitted "perfectly alongside the other books in the Bond canon".
Boyd is the third author to be invited by the Fleming estate to write an official novel.
Previously, American thriller author Jeffery Deaver wrote Carte Blanche in 2011 and British writer Sebastian Faulks penned Devil May Care in 2008.
Solo is to be published on September 26.
