Lady Gaga postpones U.S. concerts due to joint injury

  • Lady Gaga has postponed the U.S. and Canadian leg of her world tour after sustaining an injury that has left her unable to walk.

    The pop singer has severe inflammation of the joints, known as synovitis.

    Taking to Twitter, Gaga apologized to fans, revealing: "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now. However, after last night's performance, I could not walk."

    "To the fans in Chicago, Detroit & Hamilton. I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. I'm devastated & sad," she tweeted.

    Performances due to take place last night and tonight in Chicago as well as February 16 in Detroit will now be rescheduled. Lady Gaga has also postponed a concert on February 17 in Hamilton, Ontario.

    The new dates are yet to be announced.
