Film Director Roman Polanski will attend extradition hearing in Poland on February 25

  • Roman Polanski will be attending an extradition hearing in Poland after a request by the US to bring the film director back.

Polanski, who was born in Poland, has been wanted since the late 1970s by the US police after he fled the country when he was charged with having sex with a minor girl.

The hearing is due on February 25.

However, if the court were to rule in favor of his extradition, the decision can be rejected by the justice minister.

Polanski is widely regarded as one of Europe’s greatest living directors.
