Eminem Takes New Zealand's Governing Party to Court
May 1 , 2017
As per reports, New Zealand’s governing body has been sued by Eminem over one of his biggest hits, Lose Yourself. According to the rapper, the National Party used an unlicensed version of the song in the 2014 advert.
However, the party’s lawyers argued that it was not the same song but a track called Eminem-esque which was bought from a stock music library. The National Party denied being responsible for any copyright violation.
The case started on Monday and two tracks were reportedly played in the court.
Reports further say that the case may continue for six days.
