Eight-hour Gatsby play opens in London

  • A full text performance of F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby has opened in London's West End.

    Spanning eight hours, Gatz, has transferred from New York, where it was hailed as "a work of singular imagination and intelligence" by the New York Times.

    It runs for a month as part of the London 2012 Festival.

    Published in 1925, The Great Gatsby is renowned as an American literary classic and tells the story of the lives of the nouveau riche in the 1920s.
