Conservative Filipino Christians rally against Lady Gaga concert
May 20 , 2012
Conservative Christian groups in the Philippines staged a protest on Saturday demanding the cancellation of Lady Gaga's two concerts next week, claiming her songs conveyed "demonic" messages.
The protests in heavily Catholic Philippines follows this week’s decision made by authorities in Indonesia, a secular state with the world's largest Muslim population, to refuse her a permit to perform in Jakarta next month.
Group members described her songs as "blasphemous, immoral, lewd and carrying demonic and occultic undertones".
