Chevy Chase leaves American sitcom Community

Actor and comedian Chevy Chase has abruptly left the American sitcom Community and will not appear in several upcoming episodes.
On Thursday, Sony Pictures Television said the 69-year-old was leaving the NBC show following a mutual agreement with its producers.
The former Saturday Night Live star played the role of Pierce Hawthorne, a bored and wealthy man who joins a community college.
The show's fourth season is due to air in the U.S. in February.
Chase’s time on Community had been marred by a public feud with Dan Harmon, the show's creator and former executive producer.
Earlier this year, messages left by Chase on Harmon's voicemail surfaced online and revealed the actor's discontent with the direction of the show.
