Cast of popular South African soap sacked

  • The entire cast of Generations, one of the longest-running South African soap operas, has been fired after they went on a strike.

The 16 actors of the popular TV show had been demanding better salaries and contracts. They were sacked after their apparent refusal to return to work.

The show’s producers suggested that new actors would be hired. Executive producer Mfundi Vundla was quoted as saying that “Generations will go on.”
