Bobby Bland dies aged 83

The American singer, Bobby Bland, died in Memphis at the age of 83 as he suffered from an ongoing illness. Bobby Bland helped label the sound of modern blues. He was known as The Lion of The Blues and was contemporary blues and soul icon.
He had won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution towards music. His success came in the 50s and late 60s when he topped the charts with hits like “That's the Way Love Is” and “I Pity the Fool”.
