September 26 , 2014
Barbra Streisand has become the first artist to have number one albums on the US chart in every single decade since the 1960s, according to media reports.
'Partners,' the 72-year-old singer’s latest release, has topped the Billboard and sold more than 190,000 copies. Her first album to top the charts was 'People,' in 1964.
Streisand has also become the first American female singer with 10 number one albums to her credit, and is tied at fourth place with Elvis Presley in the all-time chart topping list after The Beatles (19 top-charting albums), Jay Z (13) and Bruce Springsteen (11).
