Astrophysicist picks holes in Gravity
October 9 , 2013
Neil deGrasse unraveled the mysteries of the new sci-fi film 'Gravity'. Although the celebrity astrophysicist claims to have enjoyed the film, he took to Twitter to tear it to shreds.
"Satellite communications were disrupted at 230 mi up, but communications satellites orbit 100x higher," he wrote. deGrasse also pointed out various flaws in the movie including the fact that Bullock's hair wasn't floating freely on her head.
Moreover, the astronaut who repaired the Hubble Space Telescope himself mentioned that the International Space Station and the Hubble are quite far apart and it's not possible for astronauts to travel using a jetpack.
There have been many more complaints from scientists on the Internet.
