Amitav Ghosh, nine others shortlisted for Man Booker International prize

Renowned Indian writer Amitav Ghosh is among the ten authors shortlisted for the prestigious Man Booker International prize.
The 2015 shortlist includes eight writers from countries as varied as Mozambique, Libya and Hungary. Their works were translated into English.
Hoda Barakat from Lebanon, César Aira from Argentina and American writer and poet Fanny Howe have also made it to the shortlist of the biennial £60,000 prize.
Writers from North America won the international award on the last three occasions.
