Police tries to crack plenty of murder cases on 'The First 48' and also pressurizes detectives to solve them quickly.
However, there was no real evidence against suspects in two cases but judges learned that only after the suspects served years in prison. The show never apologized for the incidents and kept airing the show without making any changes.
The freed black suspects found life to be hard after their image got destroyed. "Even when I walk places I've never been, people know me from The First 48 without really knowing what happened," one of them said.
