Actor Michael Clarke Duncan died of natural causes

  • Actor Michael Clarke Duncan died of natural causes, a U.S. coroner has confirmed.

    Duncan passed away at the age of 54 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday. According to medical reports, he had not recovered from a heart attack he suffered in July.

    The Los Angeles coroner's office stated that Duncan's personal physician had signed the death certificate, adding there was no need to review the case.

    The Chicago native was best known for playing a death row inmate in the 1999 film The Green Mile, which earned him an Oscar nomination for his supporting role.

    He also had roles in the 2003 comic book flick Daredevil and the 2005 film Sin City.

    Duncan is survived by his mother Jean, sister Judith, and fiancee Reverend Omarosa Manigault.
