Actor and broadcaster Lynda Bellingham dies

  • British actor and presenter Lynda Bellingham has died at the age of 66 after a battle with colon cancer, according to media reports.

    She first became popular for her role of a mother in the Oxo advertisements.

    In September, she publicly stated that she had only weeks to live following her decision to end chemotherapy treatment. Her husband, Michael Pattemore, was by her side when she died, reports said.

    Her previous two marriages were unhappy and she reportedly suffered abuse. 

    Among the many acting roles in her career, she appeared in All Creatures Great And Small.
