Veteran Italian actress Virna Lisi dies at 78

  • Virna Lisi, the Italian actress famous for popping out of a cake in the movie How To Murder Your Wife breathed her last at the age of 78. The blonde actress turned a lot of heads in her heyday with her beauty. Her acting prowess was recognized when she played Catherine de Medici in La Reine Margot in 1994, which won her the best actress award in 1994. Her film career began at a very early age with Italian movies. Later in her career, she had gravitated towards Italian movies once again, bidding goodbye to Hollywood. She won an honorary Italian Globe Award in 2004 for her cinematic accomplishments. Virna Lisi is survived by her son and three grandchildren.
