Zuckerberg's expensive mansion about to get more expensive
September 17 , 2013
Mark Zuckerberg's contractor has taken out five construction permits, which end up costing more than $1.6M in remodeling.
According to the workers at the house, remodeling of Zuckerberg's mansion will cost a couple of more millions and will be completed in a year.
The Zuckerbergs had bought the home described as "pretty well stripped to the studs" at Dolores Heights for $9.9M but they haven't yet confirmed if they actually own it. Neither have they shown themselves to the workers.
Mark and his wife Priscilla Chan are spending $720,000 to add more rooms to the mansion and another $60,000 on a greenhouse. A new basement garage including a turntable for cars is being added as well.
Reports suggest that the couple were also spotted looking at property in Hawaii earlier in September.
