Vodafone to introduce global progressive maternity policy
March 7 , 2015
Vodafone is starting a global maternity policy that offers far better terms than the statutory minimum in many countries.
A minimum 16-week maternity leave, which is fully paid, is part of the new policy. New mothers getting back to work would be offered 30-hour weeks on full pay for six months.
Vodafone said recruiting and retaining women was the driving force behind the policy, which is to be introduced by the end of this year in all countries where the multinational firm operates.
