Victoria's Secret targets guys desperate to exit the store
December 6 , 2013
Employees at Victoria's Secret are trained to make money out of guys who are uncomfortable about entering the store.
"The general feeling about men is that they would buy anything in order to get out of the store as quickly as possible," a former employee said. Women shoppers, on the other hand, are value oriented and employees inform them about various deals.
Store employees were pressurized to hit sales goals so a man walking in is like a lucky break. They would "buy a couple of $50 bras" without asking any workers since they'd feel awkward.
