Verizon buys out Vodaphone
September 3 , 2013
Verizon is buying America's largest wireless provider, Vodafone, which in turn will receive about $120B in stock and cash as well as Verizon's 23 percent stake.
Verizon Chairman called this deal a milestone and said the company is looking forward to having full ownership of Vodafone.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2014 and will be one of the largest in history.
Verizon had been expressing its desire to buy out Vodafone in years but talk about this deal only increased over the recent months.
Verizon Wireless operates the largest 4G network and its review in 2012 totaled to $75.9B.
