USPS will charge 3 more cents to mail your letter
September 26 , 2013
The US Postal service announced today that it's planning on raising the price of stamps to 49 cents, which is 3 cents more than the previous price.
The chairman of the postal Board of Governors has mentioned the "precarious" financial condition of the agency, which is reportedly going to lose $6 this year.
USPS is funded by the sale of products, services and postage. It has now hired a futurist and is studying as to whether or not stamps even have a future.
The independent Postal Regulatory Commission must approve this increase.
