US praises Greece's economic reforms

Jack Lew, US Treasury Secretary said in at a meeting in Athens that he is confident about the conservative administration of Greece’s Prime Minister Antonis Samara. He said that he is pleased to see Greece’s government taking the difficult action and completing the current program review. Lew mentioned that path of sustainable growth and prosperity is still hard, as reported by France 24. “I know you don’t want to leave this work unfinished.”
He also urged European leaders to promote economic growth and development. Lew said that it is at the top of his agenda to work with Europe since there’s a link between American jobs and growth. His visit was prior to the meeting between Greece’s Prime Minister Samaras and Barack Obama on August 8.
