US economy grew faster in third quarter than initial estimate
November 26 , 2014
Official data have indicated that the American economy grew at a much faster rate between July and September than what was first reported, media reports say.
The US economy expanded at a 3.9% annualized rate in the third quarter, an increase from the 3.5% earlier estimate of the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The increase, which comes after a positive second quarter, implies that the country has experienced its strongest growth for two successive quarters in a decade.
