US Congress reaches agreement on $1 trillion spending bill
December 10 , 2014
Leaders in the US Congress have agreed on a $1.1 trillion spending bill, with a deadline looming on Thursday evening. Lack of consensus would lead to a government shutdown.
The Congress is expected to pass the bill this week. However, disagreements remain over funds linked to immigration that have been sought by president Obama.
Request for funds to combat the Ebola epidemic in west Africa is likely to be included in the bill.
