United States job growth slows in April

    The American economy created 115,000 jobs in April, down from the previous month.

    The unemployment rate however fell to 8.1 percent from 8.2 percent in March.

    The rate of employment has steadily risen over the past eight months though the jobless rate has remained stubborn at above 8 percent since early 2009.
