UK Youth unemployment 3rd worst in OECD
January 29 , 2013
The United Kingdom has got one of the worst levels of youth unemployment in the developed world in the OECD. UK experienced the fastest rise in youth unemployment in the G8 since the start of the recession. A report from Work Foundation claims that the youth unemployment problem in Britain cannot be blamed on the recession alone. While reasons for this are complex, it's clear that the UK can learn from experiences of those countries that have fared much better in terms of youth unemployment. The Govt should focus on those policies that worked with the best responses from other countries and adapting them to the needs of the UK labor market. British government should take the best programmes already running across the world to turn the ship of youth unemployment around.
