UK House Prices Fall for First Time in Two Years

  • As per reports, March saw UK house prices falling for the first time in two years. After a 0.6% rise in prices of houses in February, the average rise fell 0.3% to £207. It was the first fall since June 2015, according to the Nationwide index.

The annual rate of growth was pushed by the fall to a 19-month low of 3.5%, weaker than what was expected.

As the backdrop for consumers deteriorates, it is expected that Britain’s housing market may come under pressure this year.
