Twitter to form political action committee
August 11 , 2013
Twitter is starting it's own political action committee and the organization, called Twitter#PAC will allow the company to become further involved in topics that are relevant.
Spokesman Jim Prosser said "we expect to continue to play an active role in speaking up on issues related to Internet freedom, government access to user data, patent reform and freedom of expression."
The Washington Post has reported that the company has named two Capitol Hill veterans as lobbyist and political spokesman.
Google and Microsoft already have their own political action committees. Social networking and political networking go hand in hand nowadays.
