Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey 'not satisfied' with user growth

  • Twitter’s second quarter earnings and revenues have exceeded expectations, but the company’s co-founder Jack Dorsey said he was “not satisfied” with the micro blogging site’s user growth.

The firm reported revenues of $502 million, a 61% rise from the previous year, beating its own best forecast of $485 million.

Twitter’s active users touched 316 million in the second quarter, a slight increase from the first quarter’s 308 million.

Dorsey, who is also the interim CEO, described the firm’s brand awareness as “unbelievable”, but cautioned that people were still unclear about “why they should use it themselves”.
