Toyota recalls vehicles to fix problems
September 5 , 2013
Toyota has recently announced two recalls in order to fix problems with its Highlander Hybrid SUVs and Lexus IS 350 models.
A total of 369,000 vehicles from all over the world, including 235,000 in the U.S. are being recalled. About 74,000 cars in Japan and 37,500 in Europe are being fixed as well.
No injuries or accidents have been reported as a result of these issues that the company is looking to fix and a lot of the recalls include models that were produced between 2006 and 2010.
The fault in the SUVs is regarding the vehicle abruptly stopping while in operation and Lexus models could also stop while being driven due to bolts in the control device becoming loose.
Owners of the affected vehicles are supposed to be notified via email.
This recall is another bad news for the good reputation of the company in terms of quality. It's last recall had come in 2009 and 2010.
