Toyota plans major investment in new factories in China, Mexico: Reports

  • Media reports claim that car maker Toyota is about to launch a major investment in car factories, building new facilities in China and Mexico at a total cost of $1.3 billion.

    The world’s biggest car maker has not officially commented on the reports that have appeared in the Japanese media.

    According to the reports, Toyota aims to boost its production capacity by about 300,000 units per year.  

    If confirmed, this would be the company’s first major investment since 2013.
