Towels were Walmart's hot holiday seller
December 4 , 2013
Walmart sold more towels than televisions this Black Friday. The number was 2.8 million, which is one million more than the number last year.
The reason for this is probably the fact that Walmart had a good deal for bath towels and six-pack of washcloths.
"It's something that you imagine most people have," a Cornell professor said. "It's not the equipment of a Cabbage Patch Doll. They're not fighting over a PS4. They're fighting over towels."
Surprisingly, only 1.4 million tablets were sold at Walmart this year.
