TOMS may begin selling coffee
March 12 , 2014
Blake Mycoskie made TOMS shoes a fashion sensation using his "one for one" model and donating a pair to those in need for every pair of shoes sold.
Reports suggest that the company may begin selling coffee with the same strategy. A person living in Peru, Malawai, Guatemala or Rwanda will receive clean water for a week for every bag of TOMS coffee sold.
TOMS has departed from the usual shoes before by launching a line of sunglasses and other apparel such as hats and tops. The new venture is even more important considering that founder Mycoskie left the company he is responsible for creating. The 37-year-old decided to take a break from the business since things were going well enough.
