Tech giants reveal NSA requests
February 5 , 2014
NSA isn't talking about whether or not it's spying on you but major technology companies recently came forward to reveal this information.
Reports suggest that the NSA made data requests to Yahoo in the first half of 2013 and affected about 30,000 accounts. The number was 15k in case of Microsoft, 9k for Google, 5k for Facebook and less than 250 for LinkedIn.
The Justice Department asked the companies to not say anything about the past six months and round numbers to the nearest 1k. The tech companies mentioned that they didn't always comply with these requests and resolved the matter in court in some cases.
