Tata Exec may have committed suicide
January 28 , 2014
Thai police has said that there is a possibility that a British executive at Tata Motors killed himself in a fall from the 22nd floor of a hotel in Bangkok.
Reports suggest that Managing Director Karl Slym had gone to Thailand in order to attend a board meeting and investigators believe that he may have committed suicide because of a note that he left inside the room. The letter, which states domestic problems, is currently being analyzed so it's confirmed that Slym was the writer.
The executive was leading the company during a tough market period and the chairman described him to be "a valued colleague who was providing strong leadership at a challenging time for the Indian auto industry."
