Switzerland bans sale of Volkswagen models
September 26 , 2015
Switzerland has temporarily halted the sale of diesel-engine models of Volkswagen (VW) that could have devices with the ability to trick emission tests.
The move may affect 180,000 cars that have not yet been sold or registered in the Euro5 emission category.
The move comes after the world’s biggest carmaker VW admitted that its cars cheated on emissions tests in the United States.
Matthias Mueller has been named as the company’s new CEO in wake of the scandal.
