Sprint invents starter phones for kids
April 15 , 2014
Sprint is hoping that your child is ready for his/her first cell phone. The company invented WeGo, which it says is "Safe. Simple. Secure."
The phone's inbuilt GPS allows parents to track their 5-to 12-year-olds and lets them know if the kids have read their texts.
The device is water-resistant and shatterproof - it doesn't have many smartphone features but all the basics that children might need. "Sprint WeGo is the perfect starter phone to give parents peace of mind while teaching kids responsibility - how to keep track of a device, charge it and care for it - at a low price," the VP of the company said.
