Seven jobs that we said good-bye to
March 10 , 2014
The modern age often turns several jobs obsolete and the San Francisco Chronicle published a few of those jobs that include newspaper readers and bowling-pin setters.
No young person in today's day and age would have ever thought that actual humans used to reset bowling pins before shots. Similarly, barely anyone thinks of buying separate alarms today instead of simply setting one on a smartphone.
There also used to be ice-cutters at one point in history since refrigerators weren't as efficient as they are today. The title of being a newspaper reader was quite bizarre as well - Who would have thought that factories employed readers to read the news on a platform back then?
