Scotland's Aggreko in power talks with India
August 27 , 2012
Scottish firm Aggreko is in talks with Indian officials over the possible supply of temporary power in Delhi.
The discussions follow a recent power failure that left much of the vast nation without electricity.
Aggreko is reported to be one of several international companies in talks with India's Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.
The Glasgow-based firm is one of the world's biggest suppliers of temporary generators with its latest contracts including supplying power for both the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Last month, more than 600 million people were left without power for two days after three electricity grids collapsed bringing entire cities to a standstill and affecting transport and other services.
