Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal to donate $32bn to charity

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the world’s richest men, has pledged to donate his entire fortune worth $32 billion to charity.
The 60-year-old said that he was inspired into doing so by the Gates Foundation, which was established in 1997 by Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates and his wife Melinda.
Prince Alwaleed, who is the 34th richest person in the world according to Forbes, said that the sum would be utilized for a number of purposes including fostering cultural understanding, providing disaster relief, and empowering women.
