Sale of petrol and diesel cars to be banned in France by 2040
July 7 , 2017
It is expected that by 2040 France will ban the sales of petrol and diesel cars in order to meet the targets it is supposed to meet under Paris climate accord. This is all a part of an ambitious plan by the present French Government. Just a day before this announcement Volvo had said that it will build hybrid and fully electric cars from 2019 onwards. This decision has received a high amount of praise for signaling the end of the century-long dominance of internal combustion engines in the domain of transport.
