China’s president Xi Jinping has said that the risks confronting the country’s economy were “not so scary” and the government was confident of controlling them.
Jinping, who was addressing global business leaders at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO summit, said even a Chinese economy growing at 7% would rate “among the best in the world”.
He told his audience that China’s development was bringing “enormous opportunities and benefits” to the region and the wider world.
