Retail giant Walmart is planning to open 115 new stores by 2017 in China, the firm has said.
This would increase the number of Walmart stores in China by nearly a third.
Chief executive Doug McMillon said that during a media conference in Beijing that the company’s aim was to “become an integral part” of the world’s second biggest economy.
The new stores will open in key Chinese cities and create 30,000 additional jobs, the firm said.
