PepsiCo replaces Coca-Cola as sponsor of NBA

  • PepsiCo has replaced Coca-Cola as the sponsor of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Besides the NBA, PepsiCo will become the official food and drinks partner of the Women's National Basketball Association, USA Basketball and NBA Development League from next season, ending a 28-year relationship between NBA and Coca-Cola.

    The new deal is valid in North America as well as China. Indra Nooyi, the chief executive of PepsiCo, said the company looked forward to “working together” with the NBA to “redefine the meaning of sports marketing partnership”.

    Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
