Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas refuses Israeli tax revenues
April 6 , 2015
The Palestinian Authority has refused to accept tax revenues that Israel has unfrozen.
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian leader, said he returned the hundreds of millions of dollars as Israel had deducted a third of the tax transfers citing unpaid utility debts.
Israel had earlier frozen the transfers to protest the Palestinian move to become a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Demanding the full payments, Abbas said the Authority may take the case to the ICC if Israel does not comply.
