Monarch Airlines may cut jobs, refocus operations
August 19 , 2014
Monarch Airlines is likely to cut hundreds of jobs as it aims to focus on short-haul flights rather than long-haul ones, reports have indicated.
The airline seeks to compete with airlines such as Ryanair, which are low-cost. In a statement, Monarch Airlines has said that a “strategic review of the group's businesses” was being conducted.
Monarch Airlines had confirmed an order to buy 30 Boeing 737 planes worth £1.75bn in July.
