McDonald's new mascot has been getting lousy press

  • Twitter users don't seem to like McDonald's "creepy" mascot but the CEO of the company insists that he's not scary.

    Don Thompson notes that the mascot saw success internationally before coming to America. 

    Moreover, a company that looks at media impressions also said Happy has been successful, noting that McDonald's has been able to draw people's attention to its Happy Meals by using the little guy. The company continues to enjoy free advertising as people mock the new mascot.
